Program Details

The Maine Chamber Music Seminar is a two-week summer intensive for college and graduate-level musicians passionate about pursuing leadership and service through music. Our mission is to develop life-long creative thinkers, compassionate collaborators, and cultural ambassadors through the study of, exposure to, and the performance of chamber music. Program participants will focus on two to three major works in the chamber music literature, working alongside a dynamic faculty representing such prestigious organizations as Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, A Far Cry, the American Composers Orchestra, the Horszowski Trio, the Laurel Trio, Borealis Wind Quintet, Ensemble Signal, Sequitur, and Network for New Music. Special attention will be paid to the development of leadership skills and to learning the delicate art of cooperation within an intimate group.
